This audio-magazine is suspended (legal dispute). Does anyone know where I can find back issues ? Does anyone have any experience using this resource-- is it worth it ($) ?

Champs Elysee Alternative

Postby amqi2753 » January 3rd, 2012 3:04 am

Hi

I used to subscribe to Schau-ins-Land (the German version of Champs Elysee) and was disappointed when it stopped because I would have liked to extend it to my French Studies. But I have found an alternative that is great, is still current and is a lot cheaper, which I am enjoying very much. You might like to try it out at http://www.thinklanguage.com/french/magazine The subject matter is more related to travelling in France and French customs rather than the political emphasis of Champs Elysee. You might also enjoy (I do!) "Slow News in French" - this is a great website which picks up 4 current news items in 'slow french' - not too slow and not too simplified but great if you are not yet really fluent and need to listen hard to what is being said. You can try this out at http://www.newsinslowfrench.com/. Transcripts are provided and grammar lessons.
