strange file type

I've been downloading files from frenchpod101 and then trying to burn them to cd for replaying on my stereo but have noticed that the file extension is m2v which is not an mp3 file. Can you tell me whats happening here?

Thanks for notifying us. Which lesson is that specifically? Or is it all the lessons that you have downloaded? How are you downloading these lessons?

I have since reloaded Windows Vista onto my computer and the problems seems to have disappeared. I've been reading a little about it on the web. Seems to be unique to Vista. What happens is that after right clicking on the audio link the operating system refuses to see the file as an mp3 and downloads it instead as an mp2. It's beyond me. Used to love computer problems like this, now I hate them!!!

Glad to hear everything has worked out for you. Vista gets such a bad reputation. But who knows what's happening
