Disappearing lesson threads

Postby careyxxx » December 3rd, 2008 6:22 pm

What happened to the lesson "If you have trouble making decisions on your own"? I copied Angèle's answer at work, but I didn't copy it to a flashdrive or send it to myself through e-mail. I am on a 2-month break from work, so I can't access the computer there. Can you bring back the lesson thread with Angèle's comment intact?

Lesson Comment

Hi Careyxxx

I needed to postpone the lesson for technical reasons. See below my comment.

Have a wonderful holiday!
Bonnes Vacances!

Hmmmm je ne suis pas sûre si je pourrais lui pardonner….. Peut-être que vivre cette situation me ferais changer d’avis. On ne sais jamais.

Et toi que ferais-tu?

And you all,
What would you do if your ex boyfriend or girlfriend wanted to go back with you after he / she was unfaithful?

What happened to the latest lesson?

Postby careyxxx » March 27th, 2009 6:04 pm

What happened to the latest lesson? It disappeared. I think it was on board games. I have a question that is a bit related to board games.

What do you call a loser?

Postby careyxxx » March 28th, 2009 2:52 am

I suppose in a board game, there is a winner and a loser. What do you call a loser? Now here is the real question: what do you call a loser in life -- someone who has no job, no money, no education; quelqu' un qui n'a pas l'avenir? Is there a 1-word noun for this such as "perdeur"?

Hi Careyxxx

Good try!
However a loser at a game would be:
un perdant
A loser in general /in life, we use in colloquial french the English term a loser
or with a french word:
un raté
